Trained as an Economist, Capitalist and Entrepreneur with over 28yrs experience in finance, investment, securities, and management consulting. Have handled high profile projects development, implementation and investment portfolios, buy-out & acquisitions for multinationals and other companies: Shell BP, SNC- Lavalin, Bouygues Offshore, Lloyds, to mention but a few.

He participated in several Project Management and Financial Investment Advisory team with multinationals (Shell BP, Bouygues Offshore Services, SNC-Lavalin, Lloyds Register etc.) across the Globe.

He also consulted with the Cross River State Government on finance audit and recovery of excess bank charges during Gov. Donald Duke administration and the Benue State Government on Benue State 500MW Independent Power Plant during Gov. George Akume administration.

Dr. O’Diakpo Obire was the initiator and based on his recommendation, Nigeria adopted the use of the prepaid electricity meters in Nigeria in the year 2003. He sits as chairman and CEO in various organizations and was a gubernatorial candidate in Delta State 2019 general elections and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.

He is the current President, Good Leadership Advocacy for Africa (GLAFA), a Pan African Body.
